My husband works as an IT Software Manager in the US and has been looking at similar jobs in Scotland. Edinburgh salaries seem to be higher than Glasgow. Amazon seems to pay the most around 80-100 and Skyscanner also. He's also contacted a few companies that were in the 70-80 range. He is from Glasgow and would like to move back to Scotland but would be taking at least a 40% pay cut so it is a difficult decision.
I'm not sure how families live off 50k year especially in Edinburgh where houses are a lot more expensive.
