Hello
« on: May 25, 2003, 07:01:57 AM »
Hi!

My name's Megan, and I spent most of my life in Kentucky but have lived in the DC area for the past two years, and am moving to England next weekend.  I'll be living in Norwich in June, London in July, August, and part of September, and then moving to Nottingham mid-September to get an MA in modern history.

Just thought I'd say hello. :)

Hi Megan!  Welcome to UKY...I think you'll find it very helpful and you may very well become addicted...I have!

So it sound like you're moving over to go to school then?  What a great experience that should be.  Do you have friends or acquaintances over there already?  I have a daughter in University (in the US) and am hoping she'll take some classes at the very least over in the UK or maybe even go for her masters in the UK!

I complete my move mid-June.  I'm transferring with my company (British Telecom) and also moving over to marry my English fiance who preceeded my move by a few months.

Congrats on your decision to move over and best of luck to you! :)

Life should NOT be a journey to the
grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand,
wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
