US clearing house routing number
« on: February 10, 2017, 08:05:43 AM »
Just started up my TSP retirement withdrawals. Sent in the form last Friday and supposedly they have already sent me my first month payment......in the form of a check.....damn. I asked the info person at Lloyds for what numbers I needed, and directly asked for a number that met this "US clearing house routing number" rule. Evidently they either don't have one.....or she just gave me the generic answer (she ran me off a letter with the info on it) which didn't include this super duper fancy number on it. Routing numbers here in the UK are 6 digit......the TSP wants a 9 digit. Anybody dealt with this? I really do not want paper checks mailed to me every month. If nothing else, I guess I can still have the money sent to my US credit union that I have been using for my pension payments....and then transferring using TransferWise.
Fred
