To be fair I was a student at the time and the price of a Yankees ticket was like 80% of my monthly income

The major problem you were having is that you were looking to go and watch the Yankees  ;)  ;D hahaha (kidding)

Here's me trying to look like a capitalist and failing miserably.

I hope this will make you all take me seriously!

Okay!  I found a recent pic that I  don't hate, although I have a slightly maniacal look in my eyes...probably due to being forced to pose for a fotie!  For those enquiring minds... that's a barrel of Andechs Spezial Hell tapped in my kitchen.

Keg in the kitchen! You need some of those red plastic cups.

Oh Albatross, you know the way to my heart!

I have a friend who drives to Germany 3 or 4 times a year, and always brings back a couple of barrels of beer in the boot of his car... usually Pyraser Landbier, or a Kölsch from Reissdorf or Früh. But yeah, the Andechs Spezial was a pretty good score, given that it's hard to find even in Munich... even at Andechs am Dom!  :)

Is that Fruh a strawberry beer?  I've had that, and a Kolsch but I thought Kolsh was mass produced beer?

No... Fruhli is a strawberry beer, which I think might be Belgian?
Früh is a German brewer of koelsch (or kölsch), which is the local beer 'style' of Cologne (Köln/Koeln), brewed by several different brewers including Reissdorf, Gaffel and Früh.

You can tell by the beer a person drinks what kind of music they like. For instance given that vintage, I would guess Joy Division.

LOL!  Thing is, I don't really like any of those beers!!  My partner and his friends do, so I've been on more bier trips to Germany than I can count, and i'll drink it if there's not much choice, but...  :-\\\\

If I told you that my current favourite beers are Marble Manchester Bitter, Abbeydale Deception, Ossett Silver King, and Hopcraft Rudi In Orbit... what sort of music do I like? (you weren't far off the mark with Joy Division)

((sorry for the beer hijack, people!))

Well of course not. Given Andechs Spezial Hell's jangly flavour profile...it is a logical conclusion. I was practically humming Love Will Tear Us Apart!

Now these new beers you mentioned.....fascinating....more data points.

I would say, and I am sensing both classic and mod here.....The Who.
