And yeah, there's a UK-Y facebook group but it's not as active as the more local facebook expat group I'm on. But I wish there was just a bigger group for non-local people as well that was more active with the chats because it helps pass the time on really slow days

Son of Sailor asked me to post this as he's having trouble attaching images:

Apparently he volunteers for a charity that helps refugees cross the channel.

Slow in my neck of the woods too.  Hope I didn't just jinx it.

New big big boss from the US came over while I was on holiday.  My colleague in the UK told me yesterday that she has approved 27 new hires by April.  I'm still laughing!  Oh, sales guys are so gullible.

If we get 5 people I'll be shocked.  Heck, I'll be shocked with 3.  I'm thinking 1 is realistic....

I'm also having a F* the NHS day!  They are not in my good books today!

I'm reviving this thread, there are so many people that haven't posted a picture .

Here's me kite buggying on a dry lake called Ivanpah in Nevada.  The tower in the back is part of a solar farm that focuses all the sun's energy on one spot.

Do you drive?  We have another member in our Reading group who does pole fitness on Thursday nights.  She LOVES it!  It's in Shinfield though, which I don't think you could get to without a car.  She keeps trying to convince me to do it with her.  I've promised that post baby I'll give it a go...  I'm pretty sure I'll be laying on the ground in the fetal position crying the whole time though (I have ZERO arm strength).

I do drive! :D I used to do it Thursday nights in Reading at Nuffield Health but I had to quit when I moved out of Reading because, originally, I wasn't driving and was relying on my husband. Now I am mobile and agile! :D

What are we supposed to be posting pics of?
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
