Job sites
« on: February 14, 2017, 08:24:55 AM »
Can someone post at least the 4 biggest job sites ...thank you.

- After much thought, after  and up and down days..i am finding out where i live with my wife..there is absolutely nothing in jobs here. Retford.....  i also dont know where it is ..j/k i know it is north close to 2.5 hrs from london in the Doncaster area.

- Thinking of switching from Hays to another Agency, i am looking for an agency that i can followup with, hays in Lincoln And the person i would like to talk to is always busy..and found out yesterday that their IT office is in Leeds, so go figure.. wasted time and energy

- Back in Toronto i would get at least 2 calls asking me to do some work for companies (still getting emails) here they dont even call you. (dont mind ) its when you call them, you are already forgotten. time for change..terrible time to go. !!!!!

My experience is that LinkedIn is the way to go. If you have a thorough, well-written profile, the agents and internal HR professionals will come to you, because they're searching for keywords and locations. It's basically an online tool for SEO-ing your CV.

At the company I recently worked for, there were two people on the HR team whose entire remit was to recruit via LinkedIn. They didn't have any hand in day-to-day HR tasks, just spent their days on LinkedIn, communicating and arranging interviews with potential candidates.

I use jobserve the most

http://www.jobserve.com

There's this one:
http://www.jobsite.co.uk/

And Monster:

https://www.monster.co.uk

Don't focus on one agency, they won't talk to you unless they actually have a job for you.  Focus on the jobs you see advertised, those agencies want to talk to you.

Good luck dude and hang in there

I've found my jobs on Indeed and
Reed. My husband actually found this last one on a marketing specific job site.

I'm going to be looking again after I get my FLR back. This company is bananas.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
