We are about on the same timeline.  I sent mine to Sheffield on Monday, got verification email that it has been received this morning.  Mine is also priority.  We will have to follow each other's progress.

Pretty excited about this thread as I am submitting my online application in on Sunday!!!

My husband finally was able to sort everything we needed out in London (a flat to live in) so I should have all of my documents by then.

Can I ask you guys about the online application and sending priority....was everything pretty straight forward when you did everything in terms of payment for both the application, IHS, priority and express shipping everything?  It's one thing I've been stressing over since I don't know what any of it looks like online.

The VFS site which is where you pay for priority and shipping can be very buggy.  So pay those as soon as you can after you apply so that you know it's done before your biometrics/sending your application.

The online application pretty much takes you through it step by step, just make sure you keep and eye out for the "print" button to get your receipt(s)and Bio appt. Have a couple of credit cards handy, one of mine wouldn't work, it was with M&T bank and I've had issues with it before doing slightly different things.

The VFS website is a little complicated so just make sure you are paying for the service you want, there's a fair bit on there

Online Application: 20 Feb
Biometric: 28 Feb
Priority application using VFS courier round trip: docs sent 28 Feb
Fingers crossed, really hoping for a quick turnaround as this follows a previous refusal where we failed to submit the correct documentation for proof of income and my divorce decree as we rushed our first application and didn't research required evidence properly. Big and very expensive mistake! I could detail this out in full as it would be a classic example of how not to do it! Wish I had discovered this site before we submitted the first time round   ::)

Update: tracking said package was delivered to Sheffield yesterday (1 March) and got the confirmation email this morning! Much faster than I thought up to this point. Not sure how long the wait will be for a decision though!

The confirmation emails coming so quickly means that there are not many applications ahead of you which in turn means a quick decision.  :)

Our package arrived by UPS on the morning of 2nd March and we received a confirmation email the same day. I have a question though; If the turnaround is quicker than expected and the visa is granted (fingers and toes crossed) does she have to wait until the date we gave as intended travel date or can she travel sooner?

It depends what start date they put on the visa.

She cannot travel until the 'valid from' date on the visa, so if they have honoured your Intended Travel Date and made the visa valid from that date, she will have to wait.

If not, and they have used an earlier date, she can travel earlier.

What travel date did you put on the application? You really want to put the earliest possible date she could travel, so that she doesn't end up in a situation where she's stuck waiting for the visa to start and can't travel.

My visa arrived back on Monday.  We had put a travel date of the 27th of April and they only pushed it up one week to the 20th of April. We had even included a note saying we would
Love to change it to earlier!
