Oh I understand. Shouldn't be more than 2 pages this way either.

So we're having his brother just provide his land registry and say we're staying with him, but when I go over there and ed has purchased the flat, we need to let the government know of the change of address, correct? How would we go about doing that?

Yes, that's correct - you didn't used to have to inform them of a change of address but now that they issue the visa as a BRP card, it has those details encoded in it, so you have to notify them if you change your address so they can update their system.

You do it here:

Thanks so much!
I've had a bit of confusion about the travel date- I can't remember if you want to put it far out or soon?
Ideally I'd want to go June 15th or so but I'd haaaaaave to be there by mid July at the latest. (Okay absolute latest July 22nd but still).

they tell you to put it for the soonest date you want to travel. It seems like its hard to pick a date during the summer due to the delays in time frames.

I put mine 12 weeks from my application date(thinking thats what I should have done) and it was approved for a week before the travel date so I'm just sitting here waiting to go.

When are you applying. do you have to be there for the 22nd of July?

We're going to do priority- was going to apply April 14th but since I'm going over there we can't do it until I get back on the 20th. Our blessing is over there on July 24th. I really hope it all works out I know it's really tight.

hopefully it wont be for you, but right now priority on the march timeline is running about a month from application ship date.... and thats before the expected summer applications.

so if you apply on the 21st and get your biometrics right away then you might be ok. rooting for you guys!

Oh man. I hate that we're doing it this way but it can't be helped really. So should I put the earliest date of June 15th for my travel date? And what if it gets approved after that?

If it passed your travel date they will make the visa for usually the date the visa is approved. So say you put the 15th but they don't process till the 25th they would make valid from then.

It's a tough system. I know you booked the trip to get the stuff but maybe you should just have him send and apply earlier?

totally understand that panic. I literally checked my packet maybe 20 times, and then rechecked it again before sending with the girl at the post office.

we've all been there and thats why we all want to help you. you are getting close and it sounds like you are very prepared :)
