Sponsorship

Hello all,     i need to start gathering my information for my ILR does my wife need to sponsor me still or i can doit..i am on some of the bills but need to start checking stuff out and keeping documents.

Well, you've got a ways until you'll qualify for ILR.

Your next visa will be FLR(M) which will be 30 months after you entered on your spouse visa.  If you are able to meet the £18,600/year financial requirement, you won't need to use your wife's financials (yippee, no more self-employed minefield!).  Your wife will ALWAYS be your sponsor though.

Then 30 months after that (so 5 years in the UK), you'll be able to apply for ILR.  Again, so long as you meet the financial requirement through your employment, you won't need to worry about all the self-employed documentation from your wife.
