UK funds/investments and US taxes

So my wife and child are US and UK citizens...

Are there any funds or investments they can invest in that works from a US tax and a UK tax perspective?
Met fiancee (online): May 2008
Met fiancee: July 3rd, 2008
US trips: October 2007, April 2008, June 2008, October 2008
Fiancee visa: applied Dec 2009, granted Jan 2010
Arrived in the UK: Feb 2010
Married: May/June 2010
Leave to remain till Sept 2012

Cash, direct stocks, government bonds, US funds with reporting status.  Collective funds wrapped within US qualified or UK registered pension plans.
