April Timeline

I thought I would start an April timeline since the other threads are getting so long.  I invite all April applicants to add to this thread so that we can compare.  Because I did get a refusal, I do expect mine to take a bit longer to process.  But I'm still hopeful that it won't take months.

Submitted online application:   4 April 2017
Biometrics completed:  6 April 2017
Sent to Sheffield:  6 April 2017
Received in Sheffield according to UPS tracking:  10 April 2017
Received confirmation of receipt of application from sheffield: 10 April 2017

This is a priority application with priority shipping labels

I'm just barely on the April timeline. Submitted online docs April 5th. Now waiting for one last bank statement before I can do biometrics.

Are you planning to pay for priority?

Already did, but as we are waiting for that last bank statement (wife ordered it over a week ago)...we have no idea how long this will take. She's going into a branch today to persuade/demand/beg them to stamp her online printout of the statement, which they have previously refused (over the phone) to do.

We could have had the paperwork mailed days ago if not for this statement. Sigh!

But your story always reminds me to have perspective. And to be grateful for everything that we have. <3

Oh, I'm glad for that.  I wasn't going to mention what had happened to my family, and suddenly decided to do so.  Because it really did give me perspective in this whole exhausting process and has taught me patience.

There is something satisfying about the confirmation of receipt email.  Even when you know it was delivered via tracking, it's nice to see it got to someone who emailed you.

We just got the okay from lawyers today HURRAH!!! Scheduled biometrics for Monday the 17th and will ship from FedEx the second I have the biometrics stamped sheet in my hot little hands.

My appointment is midday so either tomorrow afternoon (4/13) or Friday the 14th. I think it is a public holiday there Monday so not sure when it will arrive either day. 

I really can't wait to get it gone, but then I know a new form of worrying will start. I just posted my documents list for feedback on the thread titled "finally submitting my app, lurker no more" and got some important feedback from ksand, so I feel good, but nervous since I messed a few things up in my list (now corrected but still....)

You're using a lawyer, right? UK lawyer, so you're sending your paperwork to your lawyer in the UK who will send it on to Sheffield for you?

If so, you *may* want to hold off on biometrics (depending on what shipping service you're using, too). Since you have 5 days from biometrics to Sheffield, and you'll need some time for your biometrics sheet and paperwork to arrive to your lawyers, you'll be cutting it close.

Or do you have all of the lawyer's paperwork now, and you'll send it yourself? If so, disregard this message.

In England, both this Friday and Monday the 17th are bank (public) holidays.
