That is fantastic if true -- dare I hope! My husband works for Jaguar Land Rover & they hired PwC to review our applications and confirm we have received the correct visas. We're all US citizens & have never lived in the U.K. It should be an adventure!

Hello fellow April applicants!

I've been avoiding looking at this forum because after reading posts, I am certain that my application will be rejected.

My visa reached Sheffield on April 7th (email)
I used a FedEx return service, so I got an email asking me to provide a new service on April 7

I haven't heard anything else. I'd like to here some successful April applicants! :)

Why do you think it will be rejected? Be positive! What did you apply for spouse or fiancé?

Well, if you've been reading a lot of the posts, you must have noticed that most of the applications have been approved.  I was one of the unlucky few, but truly, there's only been a couple of us.  Hope that makes you feel a bit better.

Well, if they ask you to mail it to the British Consulate in NYC, then you'll know for sure. :) But yeah, non-settlement visas are settled by the consulate and are quite fast. Here's a guide on processing times: https://visa-processingtimes.homeoffice.gov.uk/y/united-states/points-based-system-visas/all

Awesome!! Thanks for the link!! 83% processed in 3 days-- amazing. Maybe I can get a good night's sleep instead of worrying how we'd meet the May 15 travel deadline.

Are you priority or non-priority? I doubt anyone will have an April acceptance already, but maybe we'll get a nice surprise. :D

Just a bit of warning.  Those are the processing times from February and it combines priority and non-priority applications into one figure.  So it's hard to decipher too much from the chart.  But 100% in three weeks is pretty good.  :)  Just who knows what it is two or three months later...

Yeah, I'm resigning myself to a minimum 4 weeks' wait and most likely more. :( Frustrating that we couldn't get accountant and bank paperwork for two months, or we'd have a visa in hand by now.

Why do you think it will be rejected? Be positive! What did you apply for spouse or fiancé?

We did not get my spouse's bank statements certified, could not get the landlord to confirm I would be allowed to live on the property (the leasing company did not say I could not but would not confirm until I am in the UK), my husband's salary is just over 18600 (between 2 jobs), and we didn't use a lawyer so I feel like there is more we missed.

Is anyone planning on living in Sheffield??
