I went on an overnight trip to visit some US friends down in Essex and London Weds and Thurs.
It was amazing. They have a Scottish friend who lives in Essex and he was a fantastic host to someone he'd never met.
I have to say, the coolest thing we did is we got to go and see 10 Downing Street. Like actually went behind the gate, stood in front, met the officer guarding the door and have our picture taken.
He just joined that division recently and finnagled us a visit. The officers were amazingly nice! I'll try and post my pic a bit later after I get them off my DSLR.
