But Glasgow is pretty easy to get out of. You should have no difficulty maneuvering out with a trolley and some wee kids. But get a porter arranged just to make the 1 minute walk not take a half hour.  Lol

Thank you! My husband called today and there's really no porters in the area I need . She said we could try calling our airline but I doubt that'll do much. It's not like they're unaccompanied minors. Oh well...I will survive!! My entrance to the U.K. as an ugly American will be one for the books!  [smiley=argue.gif]

Thank you! Our last experience was actually my home airport (Orlando) returning from the U.K.  and we had to collect our luggage then go through this huge meandering line to talk to customs. Then literally up a small escalator and all the way onto a tram and out the door...I don't know what they were doing that day.

It. Was. A. Nightmare.

My daughter just flew from Heathrow to MCO last week and it took her an hour and a half to get through customs. She said it was a nightmare.

You really shouldn't have any problems in Glasgow. It's a pretty small airport and a very short walk from the baggage claim to the exit. Literally takes less than a minute for a normal person.  Lol.

I know you have a lot of wee ones and luggage so it may take you just a couple of minutes extra.

You know, the people of Glasgow are wonderful. I'm willing to bet that when you are actually there, you won't be left struggling. Whether it's a member of staff or another traveler, I'm sure someone will bail in to help you.  :)

This is all good news! Thank you everyone. I will give myself a day with no kids to go shopping on Buchanan street as a reward for my ordeal ;)

Want a nightmare? Full plane from Paris to Pittsburgh. They had two agents to do passport control for the whole plane. A few people had 'quick' connections so they processed them first... Took an hour and a half. Then they began with everyone else. We jumped to the American line when it cleared after another hour. The All Other Passports line had done three people at that point. This is before transferring terminals, collecting luggage, going through customs etc. 4 hours overall. Never again.

There always seems to be plenty of trolleys at Heathrow when I have gone through. Hopefully you can pack it up and have the older kids help with some of the smaller bags. Good luck!
