This is great news, but at the same time, honestly really *bleep*ing heartbreaking.

Hahahahhahaa, I was unaware that I was not allowed to drop the f bomb. At least this much is humorous.

Masonjohnsmum, maybe next week will be our week! On the plus side, I guess we have more time to get packed and organized?

Yes, this!! I did not want realise how much I'd miss things. Especially if anyone in your family has food allergies, eat all the favorites now. :)

I think I'm heading 45 minutes north this weekend to go get my favorite pizza. I absolutely love St. Louis style pizza and let's be honest, I know I will never ever find St. Louis style there, so I have to eat it now. It's hard enough to find it in Kansas City (and not Imo's pizza, Imo's is garbage.... sorry if you like Imo's  ;D) so I have to get one last trip in.

This week has been particularly terrible as my husband is in Russia and has been having loads of fun and we were hoping that I would be there in time to join. So I've been getting sporadic messages about how much fun he's having while I'm stuck here without a passport (if I had my passport, I probably would have traveled somewhere out of country by now).

Yes! I really hope so. My partner arrived here in the US today to be with us for our son’s 2nd birthday on Mar 4th. It would be perfect timing if I got my visa next week and be able to all fly together back to Edinburgh!  :)

Meanwhile we’ve been living off our suitcases for 3 weeks now because we loaded our things in a container and had it shipped earlier in January. Oh, we’ve been ready! Lol  :D

You can apply for a limited passport if you’re itching. if your passport is behind held by another government for a visa you qualify.

I'm getting so close to 60 business days that I don't think it would be worth it. If I had realized how long this was going to take in the first place, I think that I would have. However, when I was looking at people's processing times before I applied, it was taking about 30 days for non-priority. The spreadsheet hasn't been updated in a while, but I naively thought that this process would go faster since it wasn't a busy time. I was definitely wrong.

Got an email this morning, they want further proof of our relationship and are specifically asking for social media. Odd, but I'm happy as there's movement on it and they didn't deny us as apparently I didn't include enough relationship evidence (I sent flights, skype logs, photos of us together, and a marriage certificate).

That's certainly better than no movement at all. Here's hoping for a quick resolution once you send the additional information :)

Are they allowed to specifically ask for social media? I was so nervous about this because neither my husband nor I really use it. We submitted the same exact list as you except with WhatsApp excerpts and email chains with us and friends making plans.

I don't remember them being so specific in the past. More relationship evidence, yes but not specifically social media. Presumably they have a reason for requesting in this case.

Sorry guys, I wrote that quickly. It was asking for other forms of communication, photos, and social media contact. I thought that what I sent was enough, but they want more proof of contact. We don't communicate on social media either, so I am going to send them more whatsapp conversations, call logs from Whatsapp because I've gotten a new phone, he's gotten a new phone, I've gotten a new computer and so has he in the time that we've been together, so there is no good Skype log for us.

I plan on sending more photos (since they asked for more, even though I sent more than I should have originally), whatsapp screenshots, whatsapp call logs, maybe some FB messenger stuff even though we don't talk on that often, and maybe a screen shot of all of his emails in my inbox. Anything else I should send? They just want further evidence of contact but we don't write letters and we don't text.

And to those who have already sent in their applications, I'm sure that you sent enough. I probably did not send enough evidence. Don't worry about your applications, I am sure that they are fine.
