I am stalking the UPS tracking on my returned documents because it was still addressed to our old apartment. It shows it was picked up from Sheffield today and estimated delivery on Thursday. I told all my old neighbors to look out for the UPS man lol  :D

For some reason I can't change the delivery address or have the package held at a UPS facility even after I signed up for that UPS My Choice service. Anyone ever had to change a delivery address before?

Yes, I tried calling but they couldn't help because the package hasn't entered the US yet. I will check again tomorrow.

I think you may have to wait until it has arrived at the depot. Several people have managed to get them to hold it there instead of delivering it, so they can pick it up themselves. I don’t believe it’s possible to change the address on the package though.

I called UPS yesterday because I'm in the same situation - not at the same apartment (since I thought this would all be done over a month ago!). And the My Choice feature wasn't working for me either. Anywho, they were able to change the delivery so it will just be held at their facility. This isn't just a UPS store though - it's the closest distribution center to Denver that there is, but better than nothing. Definitely call them! :)

We’re all set to pick up at UPS tomorrow too! 🤞🏽 I hope I can sleep tonight

Anyone know how long it might take for me to hear something? I submitted my extra documentation on Monday (evening in the US).

Oh such slow agony. Tracking says our package is already sitting at the UPS distribution center 10 miles away from us. But they don’t open until 1pm. It’s now 8:45am here in CA.

There is still 1 BD left in the week. Hope you hear something then. I would think it depends on the person reviewing your file. Though I was wondering why a marriage certificate wasn’t enough proof for them?

Just the last bit of slow torture......then you get to see that approval!

The marriage certificate isn't enough proof because it could be a sham marriage purely for immigration purposes. And length of marriage alone doesn't matter either, you need to prove a genuine and ongoing relationship for as long as you have been together.

Originally, for a fiance visa, you needed to show proof of relationship and communication, but all you needed to show for a spousal visa was the marriage certificate and a photo together.

However, they changed the rules a few years ago, and now you have to show evidence of the entire relationship (communication and/or living together) for a spousal visa as well.
