Spouse Visa Question
« on: May 21, 2017, 11:15:19 AM »
Hi everyone!

I am going for the spouse/partner visa in 1 year's time. Right now I am applying for the Doctorate Extension Scheme after my PhD, which means I can do any full-time work I want in the UK (aside from being a sports coach I think? But, well, there's zero chance of that happening!  :P). Since my partner and I are going for the partner visa and I'm allowed to work unconditionally in the UK for this year, both of our incomes will count toward the £18,600 goal, correct? That's what I've always understood, but I am just making sure.

I will be making more than that alone, but this whole process is just so stressful already.

Yes, as long as you have the right to work in the UK, your income can be combined with your partner's to meet the requirement.
