Righto, putting all this together now.

Question about the bank statements - we no longer receive paper statements and haven't for some years. Will print-outs of the online statements be acceptable?

The bank should be able to send you originals in post if you explain what's needed. I had online Smile account and they sent no problem. Post Office money online saver were a nightmare - not that they wouldn't send, just the statements kept not arriving - it took a month and first three statements never arrived. Others on forum here also got printed online statements stamped/ certified in branch of their bank - which I think is also allowed, but you should be able to request originals

If you are going to use online statements, you'll have to get them stamped on each page by the bank to verify that they are genuine.

It'll be easier for you for next time if you turn off your paperless settings. That way you can also use them as one of your items of correspondence.

Should we be expecting anything to acknowledge that it's been received? An email or whatever?

No emails. Everything for FLR happens by post. The next thing will be that your biometric invitation letter will arrive. Usually takes about a week to 10 days.

Until then, your tracking will let you know that it got there.  :)

Heya. This might not be anybody's area of expertise BUT I will potentially have a job interview coming up that'll require me to go to France for a day or two.

Obv I do not have a passport, as the home office has it. And its unlikely we'll get a decision until at least August.

Anything I can do with this? Get a temporary passport or similar?

FYI everybody, just got all our paperwork back. The extension was approved with no fuss whatsoever!!!!!!!

Beaming. Huge weight off my shoulders. Would like to thank everybody on this board for all of their help.

We submitted on the 19th of June and got it back on the third of August. So that's 45 days, or just over six weeks.

PHEW  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
