I'd kill for peanut butter and chocolate pie from Village Inn (with a side of fries) or a pint of strawberry sorbet.

I've got some popsicles and snickers ice cream bars in the freezer though.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

And some big fat sweet blueberries. Sounds like a balanced dinner to me

Yesterday, inspired by watching the Pioneer Woman on TV, I made a 'dump cake' which sounds awful, but was absolutely amazing!

I dumped 2 cans of cherry pie filling into an oblong baking dish, poured an entire packet of Betty Crocker devils food cake mix (dry) over the whole thing, and then cut up butter into tiny cubes and scattered them all over the top of it.  I dropped several teaspoons of cream cheese over the top in random spots.  Baked at 170 (fan) for an hour, and it was LUSH.

We both ate huge portions of it for dessert last night, and I had the last bit for breakfast this morning.  :) :)

That does sound nice, but really how could it not be?  Cubes of butter spread randomly amongst cream cheese on a bed of cherry pie!  There's no way that couldn't be nice

Made some butter cake (which is the best thing ever) for my great aunt who can't eat too well at the moment.

Butter cake?  That sounds interesting... how do you make it (if it's not a family secret)? :)

Tesco had cornettos on a pack of 4 for one pound, so....

If I made it again (and I will!), I would put the cream cheese with the cherries, underneath the cake mix layer.  It was a last second idea, and it was good, but would be better if it was more melted into the cherries.

Nah it's a Midwestern dessert. Granted my family has a recipe that my grandma found on the back of a box in the 1950's. ;D

But food network has a decent recipe here: http://www.food.com/recipe/ooey-gooey-butter-cake-32933

Though they put nuts in theirs.
