I don't even need to watch this clip to know what scene it is.

And I agree...more of a Dirty Dancing fan than Swayze in particular.

That's how I feel about the Pete's Dragon remake.

I'm more of a Dirty Dancing lover than a Patrick Swayze lover :P. It's one of my favourite films - I've seen it so many times, I can probably recite all of the dialogue along with the characters :P.

Same!

When I met my now-husband, he has never seen Dirty Dancing.  So I made him watch it and he acted like he didn't enjoy it.  When we saw they were remaking the original he said, "Why would they mess with one of the greatest movies of all time?"  Ha!  His true feelings came out!

While it's not about Swayze for me, I would fee the same way if they tried to remake Ghost (which happens to be another of his films).  Some movies just shouldn't be touched!

I can tell you guys as a veteran of many summer camps very close to where that movie was filmed...that water was freezing and filled with algae.  On the bottom were snapping turtles big enough to bite off a toe.

Patrick and Jennifer actually talked about how cold it was when they filmed. And how they had to keep stopping because she was getting so cold and turning blue. It was one of those "summer" movies filmed in the fall and they had to paint all the tree leaves green.

Ha!  ;D

But while we're on the subject of reptiles...I just learned from my retired neighbor that he has a tortoise in his garden that's about as old as he is. I keep meaning to pop over and meet the little fella!  :D
