Fruits Basket is my favourite anime. That and cowboy bebop - the theme song alone....
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are two of my long-standing favourites.

I heard they were going to be remaking Cowboy Bebop as a live action but not sure if it's typical internet rumour that is a complete hoax or if there's any truth behind it.

What's BBT??

Big Bang Theory!

Mozart in the Jungle and Transparent, both on Amazon Prime, are so good. It took me forever to watch Mozart and then I binged the first 2 seasons, it was so good; I couldn't believe it.

I want to watch Handmaid's Tale but the book was so depressing...I've heard it's really good though!

I forgot to say I watched Episodes on Netflix as well, Matt LeBlanc and Tamsin Grieg and Stephen Mangin...so so funny!

I watched episodes a while back now and I have to admit that I do think it was pretty funny haha

Not much of a Big Bang Theory person myself but I think it's one of those shows that either sticks to you or it doesn't.

In my boredom to find something new to watch while husband was busy last night, I started watching #GirlBoss on netflix because I felt that I could do that now that I completed the book. Man I realllly can't stand Sophia but there are other characters in the show that I do like so far. Husband eventually started watching it from the beginning to catch up to me while I was in the shower/getting ready for bed and he does get a good chuckle out of it.

Hey Beatlemania, is Bones based on the books of Kathy Reichs?

How could I forget Always Sunny?!? Husband and I literally love it! We finished the last season on Netflix already though :( we started both black sails and vikings but only watched one episode of each because it got lost in our pile of shows!

We watched maybe 2 or 3 episodes or something of the first season of Fear the Walking Dead because we love TWD but I thought it was terrible. The junky son (think he was a junky and not just crazy but I can't remember) was really the only good actor and character, I felt. I wasn't a fan of the rest and we got bored with it.

Only two episodes in to Fear the Walking Dead so I am still getting into the swing of it.  I don't expect it to be amazing but it will suffice for something to have on while I do my genealogy.  Junky son is excellent but, otherwise, it's very predictable.  Black Sails I reeeeally want to love but it drags a bit.  We loved Vikings!

It is indeed.  In fact, in the show, Temperance Brennan writes books about Kathy Reichs.  We used to critique the show in my forensic anthropology class all the time but I still love it (and the books).

That's funny, I took anthropology at UNCC and Kathy Reichs taught the class.  I thought anthropology would be a laugh, talking about monkeys all day.  I didn't realise it was physical anthropology and was going to be amazingly hard.  Back then I could walk up to a box of bones and identify what kind of hominid it was.  I could tell my Neanderthal from my Australopithecus by sight.

This was well before any of the books.

Wow, dream class for sure!  I went to Kent State in Ohio so we had C. Owen Lovejoy.  He used to regale us with stories of when we accidentally left Lucy's bones in the trunk of his car when he took it to the garage.  I was part of the Anthropology department when all the Ardipithecus ramidus (Ardi) papers were finally being published.  He used to bring in his personal casts of all the bones in to class for us to reconstruct.

That sounds like you studied it for real.  I was just messing around since my major was political science.

Well, my focus was archaeology but we still had to take the bio-anth classes.  My best friend worked with Lovejoy a lot so I would often tag along and pretend I was as smart as she.

There's a new documentary on Netflix about the threat to the freedom of the press! The trailer makes it look pretttyyy decent! I've added it to my Netflix list, as if it wasn't already massive!

Let me know how you like it once you have a chance.  I'm a big fan of press freedom.

The last show I watched on Netflix was sense8, recommended by HMS Seahorse.  I liked the idea but I just can't commit to watching anything.  Once the kids are done messing me around, I've only got 20 minutes until the news at 10.  All you can do then is watch the last 20 minutes of "Can't pay, we'll take it away "

My wife thinks I am a huge fan of "Can't Pay" because I watch it almost every night.  In truth, It's only because whatever Massive Ship on Quest is boring.

I have learned there is only one defense against the bailiffs- to not have anything worth taking.  My favourite debtors are the ones who laugh at them and say "Take whatever you want!" Knowing there's not a thing in the house worth more than a fiver.
