What to put for issuing authority/ place of issue?
« on: June 25, 2017, 11:21:06 PM »
Hello! I am hoping that this question is much easier to answer than any of the ones I have previously asked. I am an American citizen applying for a tier 4 student visa, and on the application (as you all know) there is a spot that asks place of issue and issuing authority. The problem I am having is that on my passport, it just says "United States" and underneath that, "Department of State", I am not sure what to put, and am looking for what others who have received their visas put for these questions! Thank you in advance!

That's what you put. Place of issue is United States and issuing authority is Department of State.

Well I just checked the old copy of my Tier 4 app, I put down the United States as the place of issue and Department of State for the issuer. Had to dig around for that file.
