You look adorable! I missed my long hair as soon as I chopped it, but short hair is so much easier to deal with. Especially in the summer.

On the point of dyed hair: And honestly, unless the company specifically has a policy against it, no one cares about dyed hair. I've had green hair, My Little Pony hair, purple hair, purple ends, and experimented with various tones and dyes in between, and no one has said anything about it.

It's been very refreshing from my time in the US where most of my employers had a dress code policy that discouraged "unnatural" hair colours.

A question for anyone with super short (like Ellen DeGeneres), fine hair:
Does it take much work? I'm imagining it would just require combing in the right direction and letting it dry, but worried that the natural route might have it standing on end without some sort of gel or hairspray.

Anyone with experience to share? I'm ready for a change!
It depends on a lot of things for how much work short hair is. Mine is fine and bolt straight so as long as it's a few inches long it falls into place with zero effort, I don't even have to brush it. If I go shorter than that it goes a million directions and sticks straight up, so it requires something to tame it - I like light waxes, and I can usually let it air dry with those too. If you have curly/wavy hair it will be different.

Love it Margo!  You are so pretty!

TF, I had Ellen-short hair in high school.  My hair is fine and mostly what I want (be straight or curly).  It was "meh" on me.  I felt like I always needed a clip or earrings to really suit me (when I normally don't care).

You see people of all ages and walks of life with bright and unnatural coloured hair. Unless it's in their rules most employers sont care. I'm definitely thinking of adding some colour to my ends!

Yes!! If you're nervous, check with your employee first about guidelines just to ease your anxiety but it's usually fine! People might tell you that you're "brave" but if you could care less it never usually matters :)

I read it about as well as I read the Life in the UK book!  I'll be there for the social side and to not be covered in Baby vomit.   :D

Oh that makes me happy :) I love fun colors of hair. I'm allergic to most everything except manic panic, and with short hair the maintenance isn't too bad!

Have you tried crazy colours? It's not impossible but more difficult to get manic panic here unfortunately :(
