Where did you apply from?  And was your application sent via post or via a TLS Centre?

From Tunisia and the lawyer sent the file by post and it's delivered 8th June
I didn't get email confirmation but have the proof that Sheffield signed for the delivery 📦

That may be a good sign!  A lot of US/Canada/NZ/AU applicants seem to receive their decision far sooner than the rest of the world due to the speculation that Sheffield process paper applications before digital ones.

Good luck!

due to the speculation that Sheffield process paper applications before digital ones.

What speculation is that? Also, not sure what you mean by digital vs. paper applications.

ALL the applications are paper ones, because the online application does not go anywhere at all - it just creates a file for you to print and then is deleted off the system a few weeks later.

It is not transmitted anywhere and is not seen by anyone until you print it and send it to them/submit it at a VAC.

When I refer to digital applications, I'm referring to those submitted at a TLS Centre.  Those applications are scanned and sent directly to Sheffield, therefore undergoing a separate process and not being posted.

With regards to the speculation, it is just that; speculation.

Ah, okay - I see what you mean.

I was just curious as to where the speculation was coming from - what is it about the processing times that makes it seem like this is happening? I'm only familiar with the US/Canada processing times, so not sure how they're comparing to other countries.

VAF is just the name of the application form (I suppose it could stand for Visa Application Form... but that's just my guess).

- The paper version of the online application is called VAF4a

- The appendix 2 form that you sent along with the online application is called VAF4a Appendix 2.

I was just going based off of what I've read as well as my own personal experience.  I've spoken to many applicants outside of the US/Ca who have been waiting 60+ working days for a priority application.  I, myself, applied from Madrid and am currently at working day 50 of waiting.  Another user on this forum, fronge, applied from Dusseldorf and is currently at working day 59 of waiting.

I only mentioned that there was speculation that paper applications seem to be processed faster because it seems to be the case when all applicant countries are considered.

I know it's tough.  But they are jumping around so much this year it's hard to follow.  They appear to be processing recently rec over applications to boost month-end statistics.  Not a big comfort when you were there first and paid for a service.

What has your solicitor said?

You may have success in having your MP enquire on your behalf but several people have simply been told that until it goes beyond 60 business days they are unable to help.  But it's worth a try.

We do have two members (May 8 and May 10) ahead of you, so you are in good company.

Don't know why the keep jumping like they did with may applications
Why they don't do it sequentially from the beginning of the month until the end
Like this we can tell who's next
Sorry maybe I'm stressing everyone here 😞

It's generally thought they pick a few each month to do quickly to skew the results favourably.... shocking.  As far as doing them in order I am mystified.... How many applications that went in after me have been Decided!

Hang in there sadeeqaty.
