Thank you for the tips, you have inspired me to try!  :D

This is getting enthralling!

Do you think there's such a thing as vicarious patience? I hope so as I don't think I'm ready to attempt actual patience or meticulous folding myself.

Today's "normal wedding" planning distraction - just got a confirmation email from the company we're renting chairs from (I got a quote over the phone last week for delivery of 40 chairs - just chairs) asking do I want to pay cash or check to confirm my rental of 200 champagne flutes?  :o ::)

Russ, is there a way to fold flutes into chairs?

Needs some patience yes, but more sheer bloody-mindedness really. ('I'll come back to it later and I WILL finish this...')Which any of us going through this process has lots of! Bucketloads.

I sorted out my paper (1.5 x was all I could get out of an A4 sheet.) and have successfully completed the first 4 folds. Yay!
Time to take a break from it now!  ;D

Yes, be careful. You don't want to risk an injury with all that exertion.

You've basically got to fold a grid of tiny squares (can't remember the ratio), with a few diagonals thrown in. Make sure you get them in the right places or you frog is going to have one leg longer than the other. Then you collapse the whole thing. Simple!  ;)

Exactly! It uses a whole different set of muscles to what I'm used to.  ;D

Just signed up for fun triathlon in six weeks. Yes have probably lost my mind. Perhaps the origami athletics was an influence. At least I have a focus now! She'd just better be here for race day!!!

Especially when you add that the swim bit is in the sea!  ::)

I've done it three times before - it is not fun and occasionally involves getting a little bit rescued :P, but doing the training always helps me feel better.

Actually, the getting a little bit rescued part does sound like fun!  ;)

Seriously though, I'm impressed! Good for you!  ;D
