The online application is still quite new and VERY buggy.  So most people opt for the paper version after losing the will to live with the online version.

I did have an issue when I went to the health payment thing but I called and they said that the glitch was fine. It better be.  ???

Don't worry, it's not you!  ;D It's the online application process that's stupidly complicated compared to the paper form.
Sounds like you've done what was asked of you though so you're right on track!  ;D

Thank you!!!!

Thought I would add my timeline up to this point in the waiting process.

Application in post 4 December
Signed for 5 December
Payment taken 8 December
Biometrics letter received and Biometrics taken 16 December

Now I can relax and enjoy Christmas and wait for the application process.  Will update when decision is made, here's hoping for a positive result.  :)

When the biometrics invite comes through the post, do you have to sign for it? I missed a post and it said I had to sign for it, but it can't be the biometrics invite already, can it?

Did anyone have to sign when the invite post came to you?

I’ve never heard of anyone saying they had to sign for it. As far as I know, it’s only a regular letter that comes through, sent by normal post.

Also, you normally get a letter of acknowledgement of your application first, followed by the biometrics letter a few days after that.

No, you're good, it doesn't come signed for.  You must have missed a Christmas present!  [smiley=elf.gif]

Hi all, it’s Allie!

We are on week 7 since we sent the visa off and week 5 since the biometric. We are a little nervous, we had made plans to visit Ken’s parents for Christmas thinking the visa would have been back by now and no such luck. Has anyone ever missed the delivery and will they hold it for you?

They have also taken down the tracker due to glitches 😩

They will send your package recorded delivery (unless you included a pre-paid special delivery envelope) so if you are not in to sign for it the postman should leave a card for you to collect it from your local depot. I actually can't remember how the BRP arrives but any service will notify you if you miss a delivery.

Fingers crossed it gets here in time for you to make the trip.

Just a quick update--
We sent off our app on 11th December and we've just received our Biometrics invite today. Thanks to UKVI for the early Christmas present haha. Hopefully going to go get them knocked out tomorrow morning and enjoy the holiday from there!

Also-we never received a letter from them acknowledging the receipt of the documents. This biometrics invite was the first thing we've gotten and it just came in the normal post. I saw there was a question above.
