I'm an Oregon native. Last year my dear Yorkshireman and I were married and we live in Eugene. But he is very close to his family and I see us at least going back and forth a lot. Maybe after retirement, longer stays. So I joined because I need to learn about the in's and outs. He has his green card, but I just have my US passport. Looks like that isn't much issue if we are there less than 6 months, but we need to be here in the US also - so need to keep his green card active.
Looking for info on health insurance, costs of living compared to the US and all the little things you don't think of. Did find your checklists and a website that talks about a US city compared with a UK city living expenses but there is a lot it doesn't cover. Just getting started on research. We will be in Yorkshire for 2 weeks - if anyone is living near Hull, we'd love to make your acquaintance.
