Wendy's in London for One Day Only
« on: July 17, 2017, 07:11:37 PM »

I saw this ad in my local newspaper:

I'm not even sure I believe it, I haven't heard anything else about it.  I haven't looked at the Twitter thingy.

Damn! I want Wendy's...
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Grip your Wendy's tight. Some a-hat on a scooter will make off with it.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

You are lucky in your own way.  You can make a burger at home and eat it in your LAUNDRY ROOM!

I'm working so hard to pay the mortgage, I can't take time off to go there.

Nah, it's too small to fit a chair in.   ;)

Maybe we could use WriteShawnna's.  I hear hers is big enough to dance in.

A search for 'Wendy's London' turns up one Wendy's location...
on Oxford Street...
in London...
Ontario. ::)

I didn't find anything using that hashtag either, but I'm not super literate with Twitter.

I didn't find anything using that hashtag either, but I'm not super literate with Twitter.

I took a look at Sway Bar (where the event is hosted), Twitter and Facebook for the hashtag and the accounts for Sway and Wendy's and I found... nothing.

Maybe it's just super secret, but it feels a bit odd to me. In my search, I also saw the ad posted on this thread (those three items for £5) and the same identical ad, but those same three items for £4... :-\\\\

Doesn't quite feel right to me so I'm not going to go out of my way for not. I'm also vegetarian and it's not clear of they're a meat-only limited menu for the pop-up. ::)

If anyone does go, let us know if it was real!

I take it back.

Sifting through Wendy's replies on Twitter brought up someone else asking the same question:

It's game on for any Wendy's fan in London!

It's on Facebook.

Cheers!
