How long does it take for letting agents to ask for the deposit?

I just wanted to send an update and thank everyone for their replies.  They just sent the lease and also have asked for the deposit and 1 month's rent (not sure if they are going to make us pay 6 months in advance or not).  We are excited and can now order some furniture!

Last year we had to pay the deposit and 6 months rent before we arrived so she has done very well to avoid that.
