Temp agencies in the UK

Is it still easy to find a job temping in the UK?  When I lived there 25 years ago I found most of my permanent jobs by temping first.  It was a good way to see what a place is like without the commitment.  Does anyone know which agencies are the best.  Is an Administrative Assistant called an Administrator in the UK?

Yes, the temp economy is alive and well, at least in London.  I believe the biggest agency is Reed and they've got a big website.
