TB TEST
« on: August 09, 2017, 08:00:49 PM »
Not sure if anyone here would know the answer to this but my new employee funnily enough is applying for his wife to join him from Nigeria. He was under the impression the TB test was to be done after the visa was accepted but I do not think it is.

Anyone know?

From the government's website:
Quote
If your test shows that you don’t have TB, you’ll be given a certificate which is valid for 6 months from the date of your x-ray. Include this certificate with your UK visa application.
https://www.gov.uk/tb-test-visa/overview

Thus, the TB test (and xray?) will have to be done prior to the application, so the certificate can be included.
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)
