Formerly Approved for a Fiance Visa. Helps or Hurts New Visa?
« on: August 10, 2017, 11:02:08 PM »
Hi, everybody. I just have a quick question. Late 2015, early 2016, me and my fiance we approved for a fiance visa. Everything went smoothly. We set up in the UK, but then decided before the wedding that we weren't as financially secure as we wanted to be and decided to call it off and returned back to the USA. So we spent all of 2016 and this year saving and we are ready to apply again. My question is, having been approved previously for a visa, will this help or hinder a new application? Thank you.

Nope, not at all. I would just explain what happened in your sponsor letter.

If your previous visa application had been refused, it would likely mean your new application would take longer to be processed while they look into the reason for refusal, but a previous approval will have no bearing on the new application.
