Husband is applying from usa to live here. Online application went in 30/06/17, biometrics the 11/07 and applications recieved uk 18/07. Non priority application, any idea how long in reality? Been married  2.5 years and only been able to be together 7 months in that time

We were all "newbies" at one time.

The offical bureaucracy can sometimes be agonisingly slow.  But they do get to you.
By now (early September), they may have gotten to processing your application.

A number of EU residents are applying for visas before Brexit, so the Home Office may have a backlog of applications to process.

Be patient and they and hopefully they will get to you soon.
