Bank account with TSB

My husband and daughter just moved over and were able to open a current account with TSB.  We are so happy we will have a debit card and not just a cash card.  We were afraid that he would only be able to open a basic account since he hadn't moved into the house and just had his passport and rental agreement.

That's wonderful - one of the hurdles of moving out of the way. Trust me, having the UK current account will make things so much easier.

Did your husband tell TSB he and your daughter are both US citizens, so TSB can handle their annual FATCA reporting? Their application form would ask if he was a US citizen. How did he answer that question?

Why would you answer anything other than YES? we opened our accounts with TSB within a week of arriving in Scotland and as they take a photocopy of your passport if you are not a UK citizen and they also ask for addresses for the last 3 years..

He is a dual citizen UK and US.  I'm not sure what he answered I will have to ask him.
