Hold on, I just need to jump in my car to come and burn that place down!  Pulled pork pancakes with slaw?
The good news is that I'll be able to split the gas money with a few French people who no doubt will be mortified by savoury crepes with ROAST BEEF and hash browns.  You could not have come up with a menu item more infuriating to the French if you had used a focus group.
Oh boy... my American friends gave them a good razzing on Facebook and this group of Scottish restraunters do not have a sense of humour, at all!

People got private messages from them and were straight up banned.

My graphic designer friend is opening a new Scottish restaurant in Colorado.

We have a new American themed pancake house restaurant in town.

Who the heck puts beef gravy ON pancakes? Crazy Brits!

The pancakes themselves were great. The texture and flavor of the actual pancake was fantastic. I just can't fathom in what world do you think beef gravy goes on top of the pancakes and how that is American in any way.

On a different note, they are really trying. They've only been open since Monday and they offer free, unlimited coffee, all meals under £5 And served in 10 minutes or less or it's free.

Where is this place? I feel the need for a road trip coming on. I have to see this in person.  Can't quite make out the flyer - is that Stirling?

In Stirling. 1 minute walk from the train station.

Hmmmm. Well, I'd be on the bus, but that should be easy enough to do.  I ~have~ to see this place.  ::)

And get out of this flat to have some "me" time without having to have a conversation on anything coherent. [Cue the "I've got Cabin Fever" bit from the Muppet Treasure Island movie.] But it's gonna snow again today, so it's going to be a while. With a menu like that, they'll be out of business before I get a chance to see it all in it's glory.   ;)

Ok... 10 second walk from the bus stop. Lol. Or 1 minute walk from the bus station.

Sigh, I must be the only one without this section. Our Tesco only does polish, Indian and Australian on occasion. No american.

I've seen real maple syrup at Sainsbury's, Tesco (regular section) and M$S.

I got this from Sainsbury's and it wasn't too bad! There are different grades of syrup and I sometimes like a slightly darker one, but for going on pancakes or porridge w/ cinnamon it hit the spot.

On the 'what's for dinner' tip, earlier this week I made a rather good thrown together meal. Gluten free pasta sorta carbonara. We had some bacon to use up, and some Romano cheese (sheep milk is thankfully fine for me), so I sliced up the bacon, cooked it with some mushrooms and tossed in a couple cherry tomatoes, and then when the pasta was done tossed it all together with the grated Romano. Seriously the tastiest "what do I have in my fridge that needs eating?" meal. :) My husband has appreciated all the home cooked meals since curry is the only thing that I can order out where he lives right now. Thank goodness for amazon pantry and Sainsbury's delivery!

Aldi had nice maple syrup a while ago but I only saw it once. You never know what they're going to have. It's why I don't do our normal shop there.

Sigh, I must be the only one without this section. Our Tesco only does polish, Indian and Australian on occasion. No american.

My Tesco is also lacking an American section.  Mine also keeps discontinuing items that I use most.  Practically every week, another staple has been replaced with a Tesco own brand product.  In most cases, I find the replacement pretty subpar, and my husband adds that item to the list of things that he picks up from Waitrose when he's in Salisbury.
