insurance on personal articles
« on: September 20, 2017, 05:04:05 PM »
Hi All,
I just moved to London and canceled all my insurance policies back in the states, does anyone know how/a good place to take insurance for personal items like engagement rings?  They say I can't keep my coverage in California since I'm not a resident anymore.

Thanks!

Just start calling.  My jewellery insurance is through Churchill.  The premiums are eye-watering!  They were the only company I could find to insure my rings and watch without going through a specialist insurer.

Wouldn’t that be included in your home contents insurance?  That’s required if you have a mortgage.  You’d want to check about maximum amounts for single items and they may want you to list them.

There’s also something called protect my bubble.com but zi think that’s more about electronic gadgets

They'll have a really low limit on jewellery and other valuables.
