Are toaster ovens a thing here?  It was my favourite thing in the USA.  And frankly, about the same size as a UK oven...   ;D

Yeah, the zombies often make appearances in our photos.  They're pretty awesome.  Right up there with Domo.  :P

looks yummy!! You should definitely have an English kitchen raising hahaha

I've seen quite a few good slow cooker pasta bake recipes, you should try pinteresting!

If there was some way to get garlic bread included with the deal, I'd make more of an effort.  It's just been the thing that's missing when we try pasta-oriented dishes.  Y'know?

Yeah, we've considered it.  Space in our make-shift kitchen hole is the issue.  *sigh* We want all the things!

hah I have some zombie figures as well! (I used to collect something called blind boxes and some of them were Walking Dead themed so I have some zombies).

Totally get you on the garlic bread. It's really the pièce de résistance of a pasta dish.

RE the toast oven, I would suggest getting one and just putting it in whatever room it can fit in (kitchen or not). My parents got my husband and I an American-style fridge/freezer as a moving/anniversary present. It definitely does not fit in our current kitchen......we have it in our dining room :) I am definitely one to just put things where they fit for now if it makes my life easier (we would rather the big fridge in a different room than settle for a smaller fridge that we eventually would want to upgrade when we found the space). I reckon you could put a toaster oven *somewhereeee* in your place a lot easier than we sorted the fridge out! hahah It means you can do garlic bread and other easy meals!! It will make your life instantly easier in that sense :p Even just get a small one that just does the job and is cheap so if you eventually bin it you haven't spent too much.

Okay, JF...  Hijack coming!

Our "wood" anniversary is next week.  You seem like the perfect person to ask...  what do I get my husband?  I don't want tat.  I thought of an owl box for the garden after a recent trip to the zoo (in Florida) where they had a species of owl native to the UK.  Did a little research and it seems you need acreage to attract them - so that idea is bust!

The man SERIOUSLY needs a home for his wallet and keys, so great idea.  It's the wood part that doesn't really fit.   :P

Xod, I think that would be a super fun field trip!

I love the idea of a bird box. There are plenty suited to garden birds. It'd be great for the little ones too.  :)

Maybe not something a bloke would appreciate as much, but what about a shadow box? You could make the shadow box out of wood (or buy it) and put some pictures/ticket stubs/etc. from over the years inside it? Bit mushy, but might be quite nice :)

https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/425871708487995324/   -  This is also a bit mushy but could be done on the cheap if there's something non-wooden you think you could get him as well and would also be an additional game the whole family could enjoy! hah

We really think alike.  I'm likely to do a bird box.  He loves birds (we all do) but he HATES pigeons and magpies.  Which we get lots of.  So I need to figure out what kind of box those birds won't like and tiny birds WOULD like.

I thought of a bench but not sure where it would go.

I'd really love a little wooden bridge.  But that would be a gift for me, not him.   ;D
