Awesome, thank you so much!  I was reading on another thread that you can check your application status online.  Can someone provide the link for that?

I don't believe it works for out of country applications any more but there it is anyway!  :)

Thank you and it doesn't seem to work for out of country applicants.  It does give me an email and phone number for contact info.  I received an email from them stating:

Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre.  Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.  Not sure what that means as they don't have all my documents yet so nothing really to prepare.

They should receive the paper application and everything else this week.  I will check out the other threads on this site and see how everyone else is doing.  Glad I found all of you!

The online application is not transmitted anywhere at all, so if you have received that email, it means one of the following:
- it was triggered by attending your biometrics appointment and has been sent in error
or
- they already have your paper application and documents and have logged them into the system.

It's just bad wording of the email, because in other countries, the paper application is submitted in person at the biometrics appointment and the documents are sent separately to Sheffield by the sponsor.
