The job thing has been frustrating for me as well. I haven't lived in the US for two years (lived abroad wi my husband) so coming back and having to get a job was challenging since I knew I was planning on moving to the UK. Hard to accept a long-term job when you're planning on moving in a few months. I ended up taking a three-month temp contract and now its over and I'm just waiting everyday so I can plan the rest of my life - __-

Same exact situation. I have been back and forth the past 2 years thankfully my last job was nice enough to call and offer me work thru to November. Now it’s november and I don’t know what to tell them. Hopefully we hear back soon! ♥️

Hello all, another new comer. My wife is currently applying for her priority spouse visa from USA. We submitted and received our confirmation on October 3rd, seems we weren't lucky enough to get the 2-5 day decision. I stupidly rang the hotline and got no information so I agree that it's a bad idea to do so. I tried the online tracker on the government website but it won't accept any of our reference numbers etc.

Visa type: Priority Spouse
Submitted online: October 3rd 2017
Confirmation email: October 3rd 2017

Married: 2017
Submitted Online: Oct 3rd 2017
Confirmation Email: Oct 3rd 2017

Decision Email: 10th Nov 2017

Hi all - new comer here too. My wife is applying for her priority spouse visa from Los Angeles, CA. I'm a British citizen, and she's an American citizen. Here's our timeline:

Visa type: Priority Spouse
Submitted application online (IHS paid etc): 6th October 2017
Biometrics submitted: 10th October 2017
Documents sent to Sheffield: 13th October 2017 (and it was a Friday! :-X)
Documents arrived in Sheffield: 16th October 2017 (RM special delivery from London)
UKVI email me to confirm reciept of documents: 23rd October 2017 (! - a week later)
Called UKVI's support line: 27th October 2017 (note to others - don't do it, it's not worth the £10/20 you'll spend waiting for them to pull up your application to say that there's no updates. The person did tell us that it's in the 2nd stage, awaiting review by a clearance officer)

No other updates since. It seems like quite a few people that have submitted in October are having to wait a while. I'll update this post as and when I have new information.

Hang in there October folks!! It doesn’t seem like it AT ALL, but it’s early days for most of you yet. The 2 and 3 day decisions are unicorns designed to boost statistics, so look back on the averages for the past several months as a better indicator-and don’t forget, weekends and holidays aren’t part of the count. It’s the most wretched process I’ve ever been through, but once you get this round done, all the ones after it will be a breeze because you’ll know what to do!!

It was a 10 month wait when I did the K-1 for my husband to come to the US 4 years ago, and I know it really really shouldn't be that long this time, but I'm just as anxious (if not more so) this time around. I just hate the immigration stress/anxiety so much!

Where are you October filers all settling in the UK?

Nooo - don't say that! :o Doesn't surprise me though given some of the experiences on here.

But yes, she applied from the USA. She sent her documents (passport etc), to me which I then gave to my lawyer and she sent them to Sheffield.
