So happy for all these approvals so happy for everyone...but we are starting to worry. All of these approvals for people that applied after us.... give us reason to keep hope alive!!!  Feeling really dark here.. :\\\'(

I feel your pain! We sent ours in on Dec 27th too. While we are so happy for everyone who are receiving their decisions we are so incredibly annoyed that we haven't gotten ours, not to mention I'm stressing that I messed something up. Here is hoping we both get our answers soon!

southernbetty - you’re only at 12 business days so far (13 counting today)... nothing to be worried about yet.

Applications submitted in December have been taking longer than ones submitted in January, due to the holidays. This happens often, especially after a bit of a backlog, where people who submitted their application later suddenly get fast decisions while others who submitted earlier have to wait a bit longer.

Great.  Now she has to book another plane ticket for the bear.  :P

Still a bonus: she'll have a seatmate that won't spill his drink, fart copiously, snore loudly, choke her with a deluge of cologne, elbow her to death, or talk endlessly about things that make her dream of being knocked unconscious by a random ninja for the whole flight  ;0)

Southerbetty and Ksand24-

Sounds like they must have gotten our application around the same day (Jan 2 for us?) and we are still waiting also. Fingers crossed we will both be hearing something in the next couple of days.

As always thanks for the words of wisdom ksand24.

Thank you so much everyone !! Here's hoping for good news .. stalking ups but nothing has come up yet ...
I'm hoping everyone gets good news soon !!!  🤞🏻💃🤗

Just a quick question about flights if it is good news ...
I'm seeing cheap flights to London from Philadelphia via connection in Iceland with Icelandair and since I don't go through border control in Iceland at all .. would it be ok to book it ? Because I'm going to have so much baggage I'd rather fly from Philly then Newark or JFK .. the non stop flights to London are over a grand right now one way  ?!

The only thing you can’t do is enter via the Republic of Ireland... all other countries are fine.

You also do not have to book a one-way... it’s usually cheaper to book a round-trip and then either not use the return portion or use it for a trip back to the US at a later date.

Can someone please advise about bank statements. My husband has only been working for 5 months in the UK, so we need to show bank statements from Australia. Our bank, Bankwest, told us that they will send us statements, but they are the exact same thing as what we could print out from the portal. They also will not "certify" or stamp anything. My US bank statements look very different to the ones that you can print online, but my Australian bank statements they send in the mail do look exactly the same as the ones that you can print out online.
Met husband: April 2013
Married: June 2016
Applied Online: Jan. 16th 2018
Biometrics: Jan. 26th
Documents sent: Feb. 2nd
UPS tracking: received Feb. 5th
Confirmation email: Feb. 7th
Decision email: March 9th
Passport back: March 12th
Decision: Approval!!!

If they have been sent in the mail by the bank, they are considered original statements... and are fine for the visa :).

They only need to be stamped if you printed them yourself at home from online banking.

Hello everyone,

Glad to see people getting good news!!

My wife (US) sent our application priority before Christmas. Biometrics received on the 14/12 and application received in Sheffield 22/12.

Still waiting to hear something back. However, our case may be complicated by the fact that my wife was refused a visa on replication after 2.5 years in the UK. I was a student teacher for the year prior to the replication after leaving the police...so despite being a qualified teacher in a paid job at time of application, it was refused due to the year prior.

Thankfully, now we meet the requirements and have 18 months of pay slips etc. My wife also chose to voluntarily leave the UK and reapply from the US so there was no overstay.

Sorry for the word vomit, it's nice to vent at times  ;D. Hopefully have some good news soon.
