Pandemic is really good!  My husband and his friends have a rotating board game weekend every couple of months (most are partnered and have children so that's about as frequent as it gets).  When it's hosted at our flat I get to play too :D

I'm in London.  If anyone is near London I'd happily do a board game meet up!

I don't even think I'd mind if it was only every few months as long as I knew I'd get to play games with like-minded people :)

We got ours as a Christmas gift last year but haven't been able to play it yet because we don't know anyone who will. It's the one where you can only play it 12 times or something so didn't want to waste it on "maybe" friends.  Have heard it's great though!

There are a fair amount here on the forum, even a couple in Fife.  Hang around here a little more and you’ll soon bump into them.  :)

I thought so, too!  I've often felt a bit left out, listening to all of them talking about all these places they know in common and sharing tips about where to get things because they're all local to each other up there.  I have nobody near me down here in southwest Wales.  *dramatic pout*
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

In fairness, you aren't toooooooo far away but you're just far away that it's not a drive you'd want to do on the regular lol. But I totally get jealous as I LOVE Scotland (it's the only other place in the UK apart from around where I currently live that I wouldn't be bothered moving).

Even better, say something bad about Scotland and you'll meet plenty of them!  Or ask about Brave heart, or the Loch Ness Monster....

I'm not?  I feel like I'm in the far reaches of civilization here sometimes.  Which is kind of what we wanted... but then when the rest of the forum talks about meeting up, I feel neglected.  It's my own fault, though.  :P

I do like to make fun of people (silently in my head) when they think they are special.  You know, "the only gay in the village" kind of thing.  But I genuinely do think you are the only American in like a 100 mile radius.   ;D

Meanwhile XOD and I could totally meet up at Burger King in five minutes....  and she's pretty badass!
