Arrrgh, Ocado!
« on: November 12, 2017, 08:28:21 PM »
So we signed on to Vitality Health, as one of their perks is discounts with Ocado and we thought we'd use it eventually. Finally got around to getting ready to order from Ocado, and, lo, they DON'T DELIVER TO SCOTLAND!

JeezusHKeyrist this is getting old....  >:(

Hey at least you don't get the 'We won't deliver to you because you're not on the mainland'
(mmm, yes I am - look at a map!).

I really feel for anyone who lives on the Western Isles, Orkney, Shetland, etc, because it's bad enough in the Highlands!
I've never gotten food on my underpants!
Work permit (2007) to British Citizen (2014)
You're stuck with me!

if they didn't outline this when you signed up, I would definitely be mentioning it to them so they don't lure other people into a false sense of security when it comes to Ocado orders lol

I used Ocado for about two years when we lived near Salisbury.  When we bought our house and moved to Southwest Wales, I learned they don't deliver here, but I never canceled my account.  I've been here a year now, and I still get the weekly (or more frequent!) marketing emails from Ocado.  They often have the subject line "We miss you!" because I haven't placed an order in so long.  About a month ago, I replied, including their original message in my reply, to say "I miss you, too!  Please deliver to my new address."  It didn't work.  :(

8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

You learn to read the fine print after a while.  Anything of interest usually includes a line which says 'not available in Scotland'.
