Can anyone recommend a financial advisor/accountant in London?
« on: December 07, 2017, 08:14:46 AM »
I have been living in England for nearly 20 years just discovered I am going to inherit some money from a relative in the US.
I do not have all the details yet but I know it will involve an IRA, some money in trust and possibly government bonds.  I also need to work out the most efficient way to transfer any cash that is due to me, minimising bank charges.
I think it could get very complicated and wanted to find a professional here in London to advise me.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

For the transfer of money use a transfer specialist such as Transferwise or World First (there are many others). When taking account of the exchange rate and fees they will give much better value than main line banks.

I second Transferwise. It's dead easy to use and extremely fair.
