For those interested, my UK passport took 13 days from mailing the application from Oregon to receiving my passport as a new citizen. I suppose they start working on it as soon as you enter info online, but I was still very impressed with the speed of the whole thing. And just like my UKM Citizenship application, my reference was not contacted.
