Drivers Licence
« on: January 04, 2018, 12:25:03 PM »
Hubby just came home clutching his temporary driving licence.  He got it!

I am so proud of him!

He has come to the UK and has grabbed every opportunity to settle in.  He took quite a few lessons prior to the test - which he quite enjoyed.  He studied the Highway Code and took on line practice tests.  And today it all paid off.

It is a grey rainy day here and we are loving that as well.  We are off for a celebratory lunch now.

Congrats to your husband!  I only got mine in March (after being here for nearly four years at that point).  It was a surprisingly gratifying feeling to have passed.  Enjoy your celebrations!

He has worked so hard.  Not just on the driving licence but just on settling in.  He has embraced everything from the dark nights and the rain, to welcoming all my relatives.  He has enjoyed the challenge of the paperwork and understanding the accents.  I am so proud of him.

Thank you for all the good wishes.
