Settlement ILR- Premium Service- Does Spouse need to come?
« on: January 21, 2018, 09:09:53 PM »
Hi All,

I am about to apply for Settlement on the 5 year route. I hit the 60 month mark on the 11th Feb and my current BRP expires on the 17th March.

I'm trying to apply for the premium service due to travel requirements but there are limited appointments and the only available day is when my hubby is in the UK but travelling.

Does he need to come with me or can I go alone with his passport and a letter from him?

Thanks!
Jillian

I actually have the same question if anyone knows the answer? I think the answer is technically they don't need to be there, but it would be great if someone can confirm.

Yes, your spouse is required to attend the appointment with you.

If they absolutely cannot attend (i.e. they have to travel on business or are in the hospital), they can include a letter of support instead.
