That is a seriously organized company!

I got a wedding invite for July already.  I'll never get over how early invitations go out over here!

What?  Half the people invited won't even still be there by Christmas.  Didn't you say you have a new boss?  That sounds like the kind of thing a new boss does to look busy,

Is the Christmas party held on-site?  Or did they book a venue and send out invites nearly a year in advance?!
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

This. Because we booked in July last year and it was too late to fit us all in close to Christmas and we had to have it early in December and no one really felt Christmassy.   So the team is jumping on the ball to book it up before anyone else....

Most likely true, because we're being sold. And maybe it's a good thing, maybe the new owners will throw us a Christmas party we won't have to pay for ourselves!

Didn't come from my boss, as he's in California and won't even give a toss about when we celebrate Christmas.  He probably won't even be my boss by then. The amount of change around here is unreal.

I got a few "save the dates" with MORE than a year until the wedding...one of which is in Poland so that's totally fair as we needed to book flights. We got the proper invitations now for them: the one for July we got back in December and another in September I got at the beginning of Jan. I get really confused what the right timelines should be too lol
My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019

I get receiving a save the date early!  But the actual invitations being sent six months plus in advance blows my mind!

I always kind of thought save the date should be like a year in advance, not months over that haha

I can get 6 months for an invite, but over that to me seems obscene.
