If I have to apply for a settlement visa from outside the UK can I still travel to my honeymoon destination in the Caribbean if my visa approval hasn’t come back yet?

No, because your passport will be in the UK with your visa application so you won’t be able to travel while it is being processed.

You would need to go on your honeymoon before you submit your visa application.

only depending on where you are traveling to .. as a US citizen you do not need a passport for some countries in the Caribbean.. ie U.S. Virgin Islands the Bahamas, PR and a few others .. check out the us gov travel site to see the list .. also u can apply for a passport card for $30 if it’s still that price .. it’s a card that allows you to travel to Canada Mexico and the Caribbean without having to use your passport ! It only works for curseing ports of call not air travel ...  not sure how long it takes to get . I know it only took me about 3 weeks
