People don't tend to believe me, but I too was a cheerleader at the beginning of high school haha AND I was a drama geek (crew) at the beginning of high school too. Weird to be doing what's considered two polar opposites at the same time looking back on it

Love it!  What are the odds we both fit the same mold?!?

I also did Winter Guard my senior year.  Which was all of band and me.   ;D  I really enjoyed it and wish I had done it in earlier years.

I pretty much hung out at the skate parks and in basements listening to them play punk/hardcore/rock music and playing video games with a bunch of dudes LOL that's as close to "band" scene as I got. I had friends in band but I just couldn't be bothered to do it in high school. I did play Clarinet briefly in middle school, however. Did have an internship my last two years of high school for a film editing tech company, which was great as it meant I got to leave school pretty early to go do internship work. Any chance to leave early and I would take it LOL

At the beginning of high school, I was in orchestra (violin), and I did maths competitions... quite well, in fact.  I have a collection of medals and trophies.  Then we moved.  In the middle of highschool, I did nothing.  No clubs or activities.  Then we moved again.  At the end of high school, I was in band ("bells", xylophone, whatever) and on newspaper/yearbook staff.

In four years, I attended 3 different highschools.  It's really no wonder I don't care about my reunions.  :P
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

hah to be fair, I was only in extracurriculars in my freshman year because I kind of was pressured into doing something....barely did much with the exception of my internship after that.

There are 2 new girls, early 20's, who both have long blonde hair done up in a bun, and absolutely identical makeup... full-on makeup, like a Vegas showgirl.  I genuinely cannot tell these girls apart... they both look exactly the same.

That’s hilarious.  I just picture this in the workplace, you confusing these girls on a daily basis...hehe sorry not sorry.

I'm only 28 and interns TOTALLY make me feel old haha

That's because interns here are 18! In the states your usually close to graduating at 21 or 22.

I'm 32 and my boss (the owners son) is friggin 22. This does chafe on me... Yes he has some experience but Jesus. They didn't know what kind of people would be interested in wills. And FFS. *I* knew that at 22. *facepalm*
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I know you didn't mean it in a negative way or anything. The worst though is seeing people a few years older than me complaining about Millennials and I'm like "dude...you're a Millenial! If you were born in 1983, you're a Millennial!" lol

Yeahhhh i don't even bother planning trips home around school reunions as I just wasn't a "school person" and everybody I want to stay in touch with I have on FB (and then some!). I can't imagine paying $75 pp to sit with people I'm not even bothered about seeing! Unless maayyyybee it was an open bar! And even then, it's iffy.

Hell, I'm a millennial and I was born in '85!

It really grates my gears about what people say about Millennials. We're doing quite well with the poor economy we've inherited! Were making less than our parents did. How crap is that!?

Friend posted a picture on Facebook that essentially was making fun of Millennials eating tide pods and I was like "firstly, YOU'RE a millennial...... secondly, the kids "eating tide pods" are technically Gen Z and not even Millennials...What are you trying to achieve here..?"

Yeah. It's really Gen z doing the stupid things. People just like the term Millennial and don't actually know what the age is for it. Haha.

People can be so dumb.
