Quick question RE email screenshots
« on: September 15, 2009, 05:27:12 PM »
Okay, I am stumped.  How do you make your inbox full of mail fit on to one screen?  I have to take a screen shot, then scroll down, then take another, scroll, etc.  It takes 3 separate pages to get one page of emails (50 per page) and I have about 8 pages.  How did everyone else do it?

Personally, on my spousal app I didn't include all my emails or g-chat logs as there would have been way too many. I just took some screenshots of my many g-chats, cropped them, shrank them a bit, and put as many on two pages as I could fit. If you don't know how to do that, you might know a graphic designer who does.

Well what I did was go into my email account and change the amount of emails I could see per page. Then I did a print screen. Then pasted them on a Word document - I ended up getting about 2 per page. In total had about 6 pages worth.

I had to submit emails as we never did the aol, msn, yahoo chats or skype - we did call but it was via calling cards or phone numbers that don't show up on phone bills. So we had to show emails.

Yeah, I think I included the most recent three pages. Screenshot and printout from Photoshop. And record of incoming Skype calls, same thing.

I get the impression we all go a bit overboard on this bit.

Thanks guys!  I narrowed the margins and was able to get 2 shots per page, still took me 3 shots to get 50 mails though, I can't figure out how to make less come up.  I just printed out the most recent 100 mails on 3 pages.  If that makes sense.  We do go overboard with this stuff so with our phone records too that's probably enough.  I didn't know if I should have shown the past three years worth of mail or not...that's definitely overboard probably because we have ticket stubs and stuff to show when we were together and when we were apart.

Thanks!  I have nearly all the documents around and in order, ready to ship Friday afternoon after our biometrics.  I couldn't fit a 2" binder clip around the pile - I wonder if that means i have too much!  Well, I did take out a lot - I think we have all essential items in it now.  I could post the table of contents like some do but I feel like I'm asking too many questions already!  I don't want to be a nuisance!

We probably do go overboard - me and my partner printed out screen shits of our emails from Feb. 2008. But that was all we had - that plus photos.

And I got approved. I think the main thing is supporting yourselves.

Good to hear!  I know we have enough for the relationship evidence.  I am worried about the support (but I went into that in another thread).  Fingers crossed and prayers and all that.  Maybe I should do a little signature line so people can see my timeline and know where I'm at?

Thanks for the help! :)
